Robinhood publishes monthly account statements as PDFs under Account, then Statements and history, usually within the first two weeks of the following month. A PDF will not paste into Excel as rows, so upload it here and every line becomes its own row with date, activity type, symbol, quantity, price, amount, and running balance. Upload twelve months together and they merge into one sheet in date order. Last updated July 2026.
The statement is a well laid out document and a terrible data source. Everything that makes it readable on screen breaks when you try to move it into Excel.
Select the activity table in a PDF viewer and paste it into Excel and the symbol, quantity, price, and amount arrive fused into one cell per line.
A monthly statement carries a portfolio summary, an account activity section, dividends, interest, and sometimes options and crypto, each with different columns.
Robinhood can generate a custom account activity report as a CSV, but most reports take about 2 hours and can take up to 24, which is not helpful when a client is waiting on the call.
The monthly statement appears within the first two weeks of the following month, so the PDF you were forwarded is often the only version of a period that exists.
An active month runs across many pages, and headers repeat mid document, which turns a naive extraction into a sheet full of stray header rows.
Underwriters, auditors, and opposing counsel ask for the official statement PDF. A self generated CSV is easy to question, so the sheet has to tie back to the document.
It reads the activity tables page by page and writes each entry out as structured data, so the totals are ready to check against the statement summary.
Date, activity description, symbol, quantity, price, and amount each get their own column, so sorting and filtering work immediately.
Debits and credits stay signed correctly, so the amount column totals to the net change instead of adding purchases and sales together.
Upload a whole year of statements at once and get one continuous sheet in date order rather than twelve files to paste together.
Page headers and column labels that repeat through a long statement are stripped out, so you get data rows and nothing else.
Download an .xlsx workbook for review or a CSV you can load into tax software, a portfolio tracker, or your own model.
Nothing connects to your Robinhood account. You upload a document you already have and delete it when you are done.
Under a minute per statement, nothing to install.
In the app or on the web open Account, then Statements and history, pick the month, and download the PDF.
Tip: Statements post in the first 2 weeks of the next month.
Drag the PDF into the box above. Add every month you need at once if you are building a full year.
Tip: Brokerage and retirement statements both work.
Check the rows, then save as XLSX or CSV and open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or your workpapers.
Tip: Tie the totals to the statement summary.
Usually somebody who has to prove a number to a third party and was handed a PDF rather than a login.
Build a realized gain schedule and reconcile it against the consolidated 1099 when the client cannot get a clean export.
Verify assets and reserves from the borrower statement instead of retyping balances into an underwriting worksheet.
Analyze a held away account a prospect brings in, in the same spreadsheet format as the rest of the plan.
Trace deposits, withdrawals, and trading activity for a divorce, an audit, or a bankruptcy where the statement is the exhibit.
Open Robinhood in the app or on the web, go to Account, then Statements and history, choose the month you want, and download the PDF. Monthly account statements are posted within the first two weeks of the following month, so a statement for June appears in the first half of July. Retirement accounts have their own statements listed alongside the brokerage ones.
Robinhood offers both, and they answer different questions. A custom account activity report exports as CSV, but it is queued: most reports take about 2 hours and can take up to 24 before you are notified that they are ready. The monthly statement is a PDF that is already sitting there.

| You have the login | Works | Works |
| Client sent a PDF only | Unavailable | Works from what you were sent |
| Underwriting or an audit file | A self generated export is easy to question | The sheet ties line by line to the official statement |
| A full year in one sheet | One report per range | Upload twelve PDFs, get one file |
The document opens with a portfolio summary showing opening and closing values and the change over the month, then breaks into sections. Account activity lists every trade with the date, description, symbol, quantity, price, and amount. Separate blocks cover dividends and interest, ACH deposits and withdrawals, transfers in and out, options activity, and any fees or margin interest. Crypto activity appears where applicable. Each section has its own column layout, which is exactly why a single copy and paste never produces a usable sheet.
Robinhood issues a consolidated 1099 that combines several form types, with documents typically available by mid February for the prior tax year. Once your statements are in one spreadsheet, sort by activity type and total the sale proceeds, then compare that figure to the 1099-B. If they differ, the usual culprits are trades settling in a different month than they executed, a transfer that moved shares without a sale, or wash sale adjustments that appear on the form but not in the raw activity. Working from a converted sheet makes those differences visible instead of leaving you to guess.
Lenders ask for brokerage statements to prove reserves and down payment funds, and they read them the same way they read a bank statement: large deposits need a source, and the closing balance has to be real rather than borrowed for the month. If you are preparing a file, the bank statement converter for lenders and the guide on preparing bank statements for a loan cover what underwriters look for, and how lenders verify bank statements explains the verification itself.
A complete picture almost never comes from one account. Convert the checking and savings side with the main bank statement converter, and for accounts held elsewhere use the brokerage statement to Excel converter or the specific pages for Fidelity, Charles Schwab, and E*TRADE. If the client also traded on an exchange, the Coinbase statement converter handles that side. Preparers pulling a return together will want the tax preparer converter, and anyone building an exhibit should read forensic bank statement analysis.
If the activity belongs in a client set of books rather than a tax schedule, export the CSV and turn it into an importable QuickBooks file with a CSV to QBO converter. For the other documents that come with a return or a loan file, such as pay stubs and closing statements, an enterprise document OCR tool pulls those into structured data too. And once everything is in rows, you can categorize the transactions and roll them into a summary without retyping a number.
Open Account, then Statements and history, in the app or on the web, pick the month you want, and download the PDF. Monthly statements post within the first two weeks of the following month. Retirement account statements are listed separately from brokerage statements.
Not directly as an Excel file. Robinhood can generate a custom account activity report as a CSV, but it is queued and usually takes about 2 hours, sometimes up to 24. Converting the monthly statement PDF gives you the same activity as Excel or CSV rows in under a minute.
Yes. Under Account and Statements you can select an account type and a date range and generate a report, which arrives as a CSV once it finishes processing. There is also a full data download under Settings, then Privacy and security, that returns your activity as CSV files.
Statements are listed by month for as long as the account has been open and remains accessible, and each one is a separate PDF. If an account has been closed or you have lost access, any statements you saved earlier become the record, which is why converting them into a spreadsheet is worth doing before that happens.
A portfolio summary with opening and closing values, then account activity listing each trade with date, description, symbol, quantity, price, and amount. Separate sections cover dividends and interest, ACH deposits and withdrawals, transfers, options activity, crypto where applicable, and any fees or margin interest.
Yes. Lenders accept brokerage statements as proof of assets and reserves, and they usually want the complete statement including every page. They read it much like a bank statement: the closing balance matters, and any large recent deposit needs a documented source.
Convert the statements to one spreadsheet, sort by activity type, and total the sale proceeds, then compare that to the 1099-B. Differences usually trace to settlement dates falling in a different month, transfers that moved shares without a sale, or wash sale adjustments shown on the form but not in the raw activity.
Yes. Robinhood retirement statements use the same document structure as brokerage statements, so contributions, trades, dividends, and interest all come out as rows with date, description, symbol, quantity, price, and amount columns.
The converter never asks for your brokerage login or an API key. You upload a PDF you already have, it is encrypted in transit with 256-bit encryption, and you can delete it at any time. Nothing is connected to your account and no trades can be placed.
